Technically it should be back to business as usual for the NFL. The draft begins today, and the leagues’ request for a stay on the order to lift the lockout has been denied. Players will be allowed to work out at team facilities beginning tomorrow. All is right in the world of football right? Not quite; the league has yet to release a position on player transactions. It has however said, that the draft will proceed with only picks being allowed to be traded until they make a decision. This may prove detrimental to many teams who have pieces to move and are looking for picks in return. This potentially includes teams like the Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins, and most importantly in the context of this story: the Cincinnati Bengals. In Cinci it is no longer just disgruntled QB Carson Palmer that wants out. Wide Receiver Chad Ochocinco tweeted yesterday that he believes his time is up with the Bengals.This is how we know the NFL year has begun. What would an NFL year be without controversy surrounding the athlete formerly known as Chad Johnson? On his Twitter account when asked if the Bengals should take receiver A.J. Green, Ochocinco responded: “He’d be perfect, I’ve done all I can, my time is up.” He also said that he believes this to be true because he thinks that Coach Marvin Lewis is mean to him.
