When he goes to work, Lamar Odom will once again head to the Staples Center.  No, he won’t being wearing purple and gold; but he is still heading back home.

In fact, he is going back to where it all began.  He is an LA Clipper.  It was the Clippers who he began his NBA career with.  Now it is with the Clippers that he will try to resurrect it.

Kevin Youkilis has long embodied the very essence of the Boston Red Sox.  An underdog, a fighter; these are the things that spring to mind when you hear his name.  As of yesterday, he is a member of the BoSox no longer, having been traded to Chicago and the AL Central-leading White Sox.

His tenure in Beantown ended in storybook fashion: a triple, followed by a curtain call and a standing ovation from the Fenway faithful.  In the seventh inning manager Bobby Valentine was informed of the trade, and that marked the last inning for Youkilis.  He was dealt to the ChiSox in exchange for utility-man Brent Lillibridge and pitcher Zach Stewart.

It didn’t have to end this way.

There is nothing that feels better, than a family being brought back together.  Two young NHL stars got to experience this sensation, as they were traded to the teams that their siblings happened to play for.

The first move came just as the NHL draft was getting underway.  The Pittsburgh Penguins sent center Jordan Staal to Carolina in exchange for center Brandon Sutter (of another famous hockey family), defensive prospect Brian Dumoulin and the 8th overall selection in the draft.
